Rs 42.55 crore expenditure on 47 irrigation schemes in Kashmir
Srinagar, May 30 (UNI) An amount of Rs 42.55 crore was being spent for the construction of 47 irrigation schemes in the north Kashmir district of Bandipora.
An official spokesman said today work on these schemes was going on and so far Rs 6.23 crore had been spent on these projects during the current fiscal.
Meanwhile, he said the Power Development Department (PDD) had been directed to ensure uninterrupted power supply to the irrigation pump stations in Sumbal and Sonawari blocks, which were being used for dewatering and irrigation purposes.
