Railway cancels 8 and diverts 5 trains on day 8 of Gujjar protest

New Delhi, May 30 (UNI) On day eight of the ongoing agitation by the Gujjar community demanding recognition as STs, the Northern Railway today cancelled eight trains and diverted five others.

The trains cancelled included the 9020/9019 Dehradun-Bandra Terminus-Dehradun Express, the 2963/2964 H Nizamuddin-Udaipur H Nizamuddin Intrercity Express, the 2416/2415 H Nizamuddin-Indore H Nizamuddin Intercity Express, the 9024/9023 Firozpur-Mumbai Central Firozpur Janta Express, the 2060/2059 H Nizamuddin-Kota H Nizamuddin Jan Shatabdi Express, the 2910/2909 H Nizamuddin-Bandra Terminus Garibrath Express, the 2954/2953 Hazrat Nizamuddin-Mumbai Central August Kranti Express and the 0906 Jammu Tawi-Bandra Terminus Special.

The trains diverted included the 2952/2951 New Delhi-Mumbai- Rajdhani Express,the 2926/2925 Amritsar-Bandra Terminus Paschim Express, the 2472/2471 Jammu Tawi-Mumbai Central Superfast Express and the 2904/2903 Amritsar-Mumbai Central Golden Temple Mail.
