Air India Express currently operated 48 flights a week from a dozen destinations and three more cities would be added to its flight map from June. The new destinations would be Goa, Hyderabad and Pune, a company release said today. The flight from Hyderabad to Dubai would commence from June five. The thrice a week schedule would be operated on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays departing Hyderabad at 1320 hrs. (Local Time) and arriving Dubai at 1520 hrs (LT).
The flights from popular tourist hot spot of Goa to Dubai would also be on a tri-weekly basis with the launch on June 17. The flights would depart Goa at 1555 hrs on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays (LT) and arrive Dubai at 1740 hrs (LT).
Air India Express would be reintroducing its flights from Pune to Dubai from June 18. There would be three flights a week departing Pune at 0015 hrs (LT) on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, arriving Dubai at 0145 hrs (LT).
The public sector airliner which had withdrawn this flight earlier due to closure of runway in Pune, was now reintroducing the same, the release added. With the introduction of these nine new flights, Air India Express would now have 162 weekly flights taking off from 16 Indian cities namely Kozhikode, Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram, Kolkata, Mangalore, Mumbai, Chennai, Trichy, Amritsar, Nagpur, Delhi, Jaipur, Lucknow, Pune, Hyderabad and Goa.
The airliner has 12 international stations on its network like Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Muscat, Al Ain, Salalah, Bahrain, Doha, Colombo, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok on the network.
Its fleet presently comprises of 18 state-of-the-art B737-800 aircraft, one of the most technologically advanced single aisle jet aircraft.
By the end of 2009, it would have 25 aircraft in its fleet seven leased and 18 owned.
