Tantrik awarded life term for killing rationalist opponent
Ambala, May 29 (UNI) A local court today awarded life imprisonment to a tantrik for murdering a rationalist man who was heading a crusade to 'expose' him.
The District and Sessions Judge BM Bedi awarded life imprisonment to the tantrik, Ram Kisko, who had brutally attacked Parveen Kumar resident of village Tandwal under Barara sub division with his chimta (metal tongs) while he was working in his fields in June 2006.
The heavily bleeding victim was taken to civil hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
The court also slapped a fine of Rs 5,000 and in default, the tantrik would have to undergo six months' imprisonment.
