One arrested with smack worth a crore
New Delhi, May 29 (UNI) Continuing its drive against drug syndicates in the capital, the police arrested a 56-year-old man from Seema Puri in north-east Delhi and seized deadly smack-worth nearly a crore rupees.
Farrukhabad resident Kishan Kumar was arrested from Seema Puri bus depot by the sleuths of the Special Staff (north-east) along with one kilogram of contraband following a tip-off, police said today.
Interrogations revealed that Kishan, a Class X drop-out and a father of five, had been in the trade since year 2000.
He had been arrested for the same crime in 2002 by the Narcotics Branch and sentenced to four-and-a-half years imprisonment, police added.
