Aarushi murder: Maya unhappy with UP police says BJP

New Delhi, May 29: The BJP today said Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati recommending a probe into the famous Aarushi murder case to the CBI only showed that she had no faith in her police system either.

BJP vice- president Mukhatar Abbas Naqvi said the UP government was yet to send its letter to the Centre seeking a CBI investigation into the twin murders in which Aarushi, the daughter of a dentist couple in Noida, and their domestic help were killed. "Till now the family of the victims did not have faith in the UP police. Now even the CM has no faith in her own system," he remarked. He said it was an unfortunate situation where the people of UP were fed-up with the 'elephant horror show'. With the probe now handed over to the CBI, the Centre will enjoy the TRP ratings of the ''elephant horror show'' on the basis of its 'sweet and sour' relationship with the BSP, he remarked.
