Melbourne, May 29 : Putting on a brave face during her first social appearance since the death of her father, Graham, Lara Bingle, the soon-to-be wife of Australian cricketer Michael Clarke, dazzled guests at a lunch at top Rose Bay noshery Catalina on Wednesday.
The former Tourism Australia pin-up shone in a feminine frock by Monique Lhuillier at the event to launch the designer's new giftware range for Royal Doulton.
She told the Confidential magazine that she was enjoying quality time with her mum and brother, but hoped to make it to the West Indies to be with her cricketer fiance Michael Clarke.
"It's been nice spending time with my family, they need me just as much as I need them. Over the past couple of months it's been pretty full on," The Australian quoted her, as saying.
While she appreciated Clarke's decision to delay his trip to support her following her dad's death from cancer three weeks ago, Bingle is now busy with her new gig on Channel 9 travel series Holidays for Sale and designing a swimwear range for Speedo.
