Fake stamps worth two lakhs seized, 3 arrested
New Delhi, May 29 (UNI) Police today claimed to have busted an inter-state gang involved in the fake court stamps racket with the arrest of three people from Ghanta Ghar area of North Delhi.
Rs two lakh worth counterfeit court duty stamps were recovered from their possession following their arrest yesterday, said the police.
Among those arrested is 50-year-old Jagdish. The other two are Kunwar Pal Singh (40) and Prem Singh (26).
Initially 125 sheets, each containing 24 counterfeit court fee stamps of Rs 10 value, were seized, but following interrogation the total number of seizures came swelled to 855 sheets - each with 24 stamps, police added.
