CS assures Aarhtis of considering their demands
Chandigarh, May 29 (UNI) A Deputation of the Federation of Aarhti Associations of Punjab led by its president Ravinder Singh Cheema today called on Punjab Chief Secretary Ramesh Inder Singh and submitted a detailed charter of demands for sympathetic consideration.
Taking part in the deliberations, Mr RI Singh assured the members of the delegation that all their genuine demands including hassle free lifting of food grains, prompt payment of their produce and relaxation of specifications in terms of moisture contents in paddy would be thoroughly reviewed at the concerned quarters before taking a final decision.
The meeting was attended by Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Punjab, Mr DS Guru, Principal Secretary, Food and Civil Supplies Mr RPS Pawar and MD Markfed Mr GS Grewal along with the representatives of various purchase agencies.
