Andaman records pass percentage of 56.49 in CBSE X
Port Blair, May 29 (UNI) The overall pass percentage in CBSE's class X examination this year was 56.49 per cent as against 52.24 per cent last year in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
The pass percentage of the administration run schools was 50.43 per cent as against 46.36 per cent last year, registering an overall increase of 4.07 per cent, Nodal Officer of CBSE, Andaman, Leela Vergehese told UNI today.
Out of 5436 students, who appeared for the board examination, from all the government aided and un-aided schools in the islands, 3071 students have passed, Ms Vergeshese said.
About 33 per cent were placed in compartment and only 10 per cent have been declared fail, she added.
Altogether nine schools have secured 100 per cent result as against seven schools last year.
