SMOT and CAMC to offer degree in management consulting
Hyderabad, May 28 (UNI) SMOT, a B-School, today announced an expansive collaboration with the world's largest professional consulting body, Canadian Association of Management Consulting (CAMC), to offer PGPM, management consulting degree in Finance, Marketing, IT and HR as part of its 'Global Branding' effort.
Under the collaborative initiative, three faculties from CAMC and SMU would visit SMOT this fall to offer 108 hours of class in current topics in management. The teams were likely to visit on June 14 and June 21, SMOT Director Narasimhan said at a press conference here.
Consulting, as specialisation in MBA, is a unique feature in SMOT, currently not offered as a career track option in any business school in India especially consulting in Finance, Marketing, IT and HR, he added.
SMOT at present moulds a wide range of in-demand career oriented management degree graduates for industries including IT, Manufacturing, Services, Healthcare and Retail.
The SMOT campus at Chennai currently has 50 students enrolled with the PGPM programme and a 25-member faculty. The campus placement programme at SMOT has attracted renowned companies. The students are expected to close the year with an impressive average CTC, he said.
SMOT Campus in Hyderabad is moving towards completion and it hopes to start courses from May 2009 with a capacity for 1,000 students, he said, adding that it also plans to build a campus at Bangalore for which it has acquired 17 acres.
