Security tightened in all government offices
Imphal, May 28 (UNI) The Manipur government has tightened security in all its offices in view of the present agitation launched by the Manipur Forward Youth Front (MAFYF) in protest against the arrest of its President, Sapamcha Kangleipal.
The Mafyf has been demanding unconditional release of its President, Sapamcha Kangleipal, who was recently for opposing the government's decision to provide arm to the civilians.
Home Department, Principal Secy, D S Poonia today said that strict major have been taken at all Government offices in view of the protest. He has also asked all the Superintendents of Police, Unit Commandants and Officer-in charge of police stations to maintain of proper coordination among themselves to abert any untoward incidents.
The Fire brigade department has also been asked to remain alert, Mr Purnia said adding that police petrolling has been intensified in all sensitive areas.
MAFYF members have been attacking government offices and announced to launche a major agitation if their President was was not release immnediately.
