Mumbai, May 28 (UNI) Maharashtra government today decided to give financial assistance of Rs 10 crore for transport of DAP and composed fertilisers.
A decision to this effect was taken at the cabinet meeting here.
The state gets 30 to 34 lakh metric tonnes chemical fertilizers during Kharif season and this year there will 33.28 lakh metric tonnes. This includes 13.75 lakh metric tonnes of SSP fertilisers.
The central government has already approved the demand and distribution of fertilisers at taluka and district level has already begun.
The cabinet has increased the ownership rate on jambha stone from Rs 35 to Rs 50 per brass.
Jambha stone, used for construction, is found in Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg.
