Thiruvananthapuram, May 28 (UNI) Kerala Revenue Minister K P Rajendran today said a fresh survey of pieces land in the state would be completed in three years.
Addressing a press conference, organised in connection with the second anniversary of the Left Democratic Front (LDF), he said the state government would take the assistance of Survey of India to complete the survey.
The state government would sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Survey of India in this regard, he said, adding a high-level official team of Survey of India would visit the state in June in this connection.
As per the MoU, training would be given to officials in the Revenue Department for carrying out the survey by using sophisticated equipment and setting up a Ground Control Point Network, a facility used for preparing accurate survey document in the state.
As a pilot project, the method would be used in Kasargod for the survey and if it was found successful, it would be carried out in other areas, he added.
Mr Rajendran said necessary instructions had been given to the revenue department to settle complaints where a survey was completed.
