Bouquet of Indian shows on POGO this Summer

New Delhi, May 28 (UNI) Continuing with its commitment to bring customised programming to kids across India, POGO is all set to premiere this summer three new original productions.

Among the three new original productions, which augment POGO's diverse quality original productions bouquet, is 'Sunaina', a new weekly, half-an-hour family sitcom.

To be telecast on Sundays at 10:00 a.m., 'Sunaina' revolves around the misadventures and crazy lives of teenager Sunaina, her friends and her family.

This summer, POGO also returns with season II's the exciting detective series - 'Cambala Investigation Agency' (CIA), premiering on June 14 and to be telecast every Saturday at 6:00 p.m. A brand new season of the multi-award winning, ever popular arts show Music Art and Dance (MAD) 6.0 will launch on June 22 and to be telecast on Sundays at 10:30 a.m.

According to Vice President, Advertising Sales and Networks, India and South Asia, Turner International India, Monica Tata, the launch of the shows this summer is in keeping with the commitment of the channel to bring original production content for Indian kids.

''The success of our diverse array of premium original productions reaffirms our belief that the future is in creating original properties for Indian kids. This summer, we once again return with our proven hit shows that we have grown and nurtured over the past few years such as 'MAD season 6.0', 'CIA season II', 'Galli Galli Sim Sim season II A'.

The overwhelming response to our customised Indian content has further spurred us to launch a new family sitcom 'Sunaina' and other soon-to-be announced original productions, later in the year,'' Ms Monica said.

''Our Indian productions have grown from strength to strength, from 50 hours in 2004 to over 200 hours of original productions in 2008, demonstrating our commitment to provide content that resonates with our viewers,''she added.

'Sunaina' is a story of a teenage girl who has a gift - her dreams tend to come true either on an actual or a philosophical! This uncanny ability is a closely guarded secret between Sunaina and her group of friends who are ever enthusiastic and supportive of her. Everyday, Sunaina gets up and decides to solve a problem related to her dream. But ends up creating a problem bigger than the actual problem she dreamt! The dreams could be about herself, her family, friends, and sometimes even her school teachers. It has been produced by Tony and Deeya Singh's DJ Creations.

Season II features the dynamic young CIA team solving intriguing new mysteries that, the channel sources say, will keep viewers at the edge of their seats.

As a special treat, POGO has planned a double dhamaka of CIA season II. The show is being produced by Contiloe Films.

The longest running kids live action creative show on C and S television, MAD 6.0 will introduce completely new spins to the world of music, art and dance and is produced by Miditech for POGO.
