Blanchett's pals love posing with her Oscar statuette!

London, May 28 : Cate Blanchett's pals like nothing more than posing with the Oscar she won in 2005.

The British actress bagged the prestigious award for her portrayal of Katharine Hepburn in 'The Aviator', co-starring Leonardo DiCaprio.

She reveals that though at first she wanted to hide the award away, she changed her mind and ended up putting it on display on her grand piano.

As a result, pals who come over all pick it up and posse with it.

"I thought about sticking it in the loo. I was going to be very witty and Emma Thompson about it," the Daily Express quoted her, as saying.

"But I'm actually very proud of it so I ended up putting it on the grand piano because all my friends want to pick it up and pose with it," she added.
