Srinagar, May 28 (UNI) The authorities have suspended seven government officials, including two doctors, four paramedical staff and two teachers in the south Kashmir district of Shopian where 50 trunks were distributed among chowkidars.
An official spokesman said today that District Development Commissioner (DDC) Shopian, during inspection of various offices found five employees, including Assistant Surgeon and ISM doctor of Public Health Centre, Vehil, absent from duty.
He has charge sheeted all the absentees and placed the two pharmacists and nursing orderly under suspension.
He has also suspended two teachers of Government Middle School Meemender for being absent from duty.
The spokesman said the DDC also distributed 50 trunks among Chowkidars of the district for maintaining the records of births and deaths.
