2nd and 3rd positions claimed by boys from Birbhum
Bolpur, May 28 (UNI) This year's second and third positions in the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education was claimed by two boys from the land where Kaviguru Rabindranath Tagore taught his students in his time.
Both students of Rampurhat's Jitendralal Vidya Bhavan, Udyalok Mondol, who scored 797, and Masood Rai Han, who scored 796, are residents of Rampurhat and have both been awarded letters in all subjects in the Madhyamik examination, results for which was announced today.
While the former is the son of a school teacher, the latter's father is a ration dealer in the locality.
The school's head master Gaur Chandra Ghosh said that four of his boys figured in the first 10 list, while 18 students have scored above 700.
