Gujjar Protest: Raj HC issue summons to Col Bainsla
Jaipur, May 27: The Rajasthan High Court today issued notices to Gujjar Reservation Action Committee Convenor Col Kirodi Singh Bainsla in a contempt petition filed by the Rajasthan government. A Single Bench of Justice Prem Shankar Aasopa issued notices to the Gujjar leader in a petition for breach of an undertaking given by him for maintaining law and order.
In a petition, Advocate General B P Agrawal prayed that contempt of court proceeding may be initiated against the Gujjar leader for not keeping the commitment made before the court. During Gujjar agitation for ST status to the community last year, Col Bainsla had given an undertaking to the court that law and order would not be disrupted by them during the agitation.
