New Delhi, May 27 (UNI) World's leading players in information technology, chip making and IT solution provider have joined hands in providing a learning centre in Chhindwara constituency of Union Commerce and Industry Minister Kamal Nath.
The Minister, cheered by top executives of NIIT, Intel and Cisco, today laid the foundation of NIIT's second learning centre in the constituency in Barkuhi town in Madhya Pradesh to harness talent.
''I am happy to see the industry come forward for nurturing talent in rural India ....NIIT's model will go a long way in inducting our youth into the mainstream industry,'' Mr Kamal Nath said.
NIIT chairman Rajendra S Pawar said the Centre's success augurs well for the growth of the Chhindwara youth. ''This encourages our commitment to harness the hidden talent pool available in semi-urban India''.
Leading chip maker, Intel, announced launch of its 'IT entrepreneurship lab', 'Intel teach program' and 'World ahead program' at Chhindwara. Company's managing director for South Asia (Sales and Marketing) R Sivakumar said Intel's initiative, along with NIIT, will create opportunities for the people and make Chhindwara a model community.
Cisco, the leader in networking solutions, also inaugurated its modern networking learning facility in the NIIT centre.
The Barkuhi centre will provide intensive training to students to enhance their IT and communication skills, as also professional life skills to prepare them for employment in the IT and non-IT companies.
Earlier, Mr Kamal Nath gave away certificates to students at the first annual convocation of NIIT's first centre at Chhindwara.
