Bhubaneswar, May 27 (UNI) The K Raheja group will establish an IT park with the brand name 'Mindspace'' through a joint venture with the Orissa government undertaking IDCO.
The IT park will provide world class infrastructure facilities to attract investment from global and national companies to generate employment opportunities in the state.
A MoU in this regard was signed by state Information Technology department secretary P K Mohapatra and K Raheja Corporation Director Ravi C Raheja in the presence of Information and Technology Minister S N Patro.
Chief Secretary Ajit Kumar Tripathy, Industries Secretary Chinamaya Basu, IDCO Managing Director and Director IT Vishal Dev were among others present.
A sum of Rs 250 crore would be invested and 12000 IT professionals would be given employment in the first phase of the project. If it succeeds, the second phase of the projected would be implemented.
The 'Mindspace' IT park would facilitate Bhubaneswar city to be a preferred destination for IT, ITES and financial sectors. The IT park would be designed as a green building thereby promoting environment friendly and energy conserving infrastructure development practices in the city.
The government would ensure provision of good quality infrastructure linkage. Orissa Computer Application Centre (OCAC), the nodal agency for IT sector promotion and facilitation, would provide support to the park for project implementation.
