JK submit Rs 4.70cr proj to Centre for tourism

Srinagar, May 27: The Jammu and Kashmir government has submitted a project worth Rs 4.70 crore for construction of infrastructure for tourists at remote Paddar and Machail, an official spokesman said.

Meanwhile, construction work on the Rs 1.85 crore Tourist Reception Centre (TRC) at Kishtwar was going on.

He said the Rs 4.70 crore project had been submitted to the Union Ministry of Tourism for the development of a new TRC at Paddar and construction of facilities at Machail and other places en route to Machail.

The spokesman said pre-fabricated sheds were proposed to be constructed at Machail and Masu for the convenience of yatris at the cost of Rs 42 lakh.
