New York, May 27 : New York Senator Hillary Clinton has listed at least six reasons for her decision not to pull out of the Democratic Party's presidential nomination race. In an article that appears in the New York Daily News, Clinton said she was running because she sill believed she could win on merit.

She also said that there was a need for her to remain in the contest because she felt that she could provide remedies for ending the current economic crisis in the United States. Also, the nation was at war and the stakes were very high. Therefore, there was a need for real leadership, and she felt she could provide it. She also said that she was running because she believed that staying in this race would help unite the Democratic Party.

Another fact to be considered was that her parents had not raised her to be a quitter, and that fact was proved by the statistic that over 17 million Americans had voted for her in the current race, the most in presidential primary history.

She also said that she was running for all those women in their 90s who had told her they were born before women could vote, and they wanted to live to see a woman in the White House.

She said that she was continuing with her campaign for all the men and women who wake up every day and work hard to make a difference for their families, people who deserve a shot at the American Dream - the chance to save for college, a home and retirement; to afford quality health care for their families; to fill the gas tank and buy the groceries with a little left over each month.

Finally, she said that she was running because she believed she was the strongest candidate to stand toe-to-toe with Republican presidential nominee Senator John McCain.
