Gulbarga records highest temperature 41.3 degree celsius

Bangalore, May 27 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded by the weather office here at 0830 hours today.

Rainfall occurred at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and at isolated places over Interior Karnataka.

Chief amounts of rainfall (cm): Bagalkote 5; Shirali, Karwar, Hungund, Tyagarthi, Kollegal, M.M.Hills 3 each; Sirsi, Yellapura, Nanjangud 2 each; Udupi, Hanumasagar, Talaguppa 1 each.

Maximum Temperatures fell appreciably at most places over Coastal Karnataka and fell at a few places over Interior Karnataka.

They were above normal at a few places over North Interior Karnataka; however below normal at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and were normal over South Interior Karnataka.

Gulbarga recorded the highest maximum temperature of 41.3 degree celsius over the State.

Forecast valid until Thursday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at most places over Coastal Karnataka; at many places over South Interior Karnataka and at a few places over North Interior Karnataka.

Farmers Weather Bulletin: Moderate to rather heavy rain likely to occur at most places over all districts of Coastal Karnataka and at many places over all districts of South Interior Karnataka. Light to moderate rain likely to occur at a few places over all districts of North Interior Karnataka.

Heavy rainfall warning: Heavy rain may occur at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka during next 48 hours.

Outlook for subsequent two days: Increase in rainfall is expected over the State.

Local forecast: Partly cloudy. Rain/thundershowers likely.

Maximum temperature likely to be around 31 degree celsius.
