CBSE declares Class X results for Chennai

New Delhi, May 27 (UNI) The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) today declared the Class X results for the Chennai region, examinations for which were held from March 1 to 27.

Results for-- Delhi, Ajmer, Panchkula, Allahabad and Guwahati-- will be declared on May 29, CBSE Controller of Examinations M C Sharma said.

The Board is hosting the results on the net-- www.results.nic.in, www.cbseresults.nic.in and www.cbse.nic.in.

This year, more than 7.65 lakh students appeared for the Class Ten examinations. In the Delhi region, 2.19 lakh pupils wrote the examination, registering an increase of 5.68 per cent over the previous year.

The Board, this year, had introduced redesigned High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) question paper. Based on the National Curriculum Framework--2005, the new design included about 10 per cent of very short answer questions and about 20 per cent of questions to assess HOTS.
