Yeddyurappa to take oath as CM on May 28

Bangalore, May 26: At last, BJP has finally realised its dream of ruling a southern state. And this it did with supreme majority and fine panache. BJP Chief Ministerial candidate Yeddyurappa is all set to take oath as first BJP Chief Minister in South India on May 28. Speaking to the media after the emphatic win, Yeddyurappa thanked the people of Karnataka for voting for a stable Govt. Yedi further promised special projects for SC and STs. "I thank Arun Jaitley for this win", said Yeddyurappa.

BJP chief Rajnath Singh said the party's victory in Karnataka was a milestone in its social and geographical expansion and made it the front-runner in the next Lok Sabha elections. Senior BJP leader Venkaiah Naidu said the victory in Karnataka would have 'national implications'. Arun Jaitley downplayed his role in BJP's victory.
