Year long Khilafath Centenary Celebrations begin tomorrow
Hyderabad, May 26 (UNI) Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat Community will organise year-long 'Khilafath Centenary Celebrations' here from tomorrow.
Addressing a press conference today, Press Committee Chairman Syed Tanveer Ahmed said the programme would commence with hoisting of the community flag and the national flag.
As part of the celebration, Fifth Khalifathul Masaih Hazarat Mirza Masror Ahmed would address the community from London, which would be telecast by the Muslim Television Ahmadiyya (MTA) International at 1630 hrs.
Prominent scholars, including Moulana Kareem Uddin Shaheb, Moulana Omer Saheb and Moulana Burhan, would also address the gathering on June 15.
In the second session on the same day, there would be an all-religion meet in which religious heads of Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Christianity would address the gathering.
Stating that the Jamaat would organise blood donation camps during the year-long celebrations, Mr Tanveer said the Jamaat, founded in 1889 by Hazarat Mirza Ghulam Ahmed in Qadian, Punjab, was a 119-year-old secular community based in Punjab.
