Bangalore, May 26 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded by the weather office at 0830 hours today.
Rainfall occurred at most places over South Interior Karnataka; at many places over Coastal Karnataka and at a few places over North Interior Karnataka.
Heavy rainfall amounts (cm): Hirekerur 9; Bellary 8; Sakleshpura 7.
Other chief amounts of rainfall (cm): Bhagamandala, Davanagere, Hassan 6 each; Periyapatna, Channagiri, Harihara, Jagalur. Nayakanahatti 5 each; Banavasi, Munirabad, Haveri, Alur, Chamarajnagara, Santhebennur, H.B.Halli, Chitradurga 4 each; Maximum Temperatures changed little over the State. They were above normal at most places over Coastal Karnataka; at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and were normal over North Interior Karnataka.
Gulbarga recorded the highest maximum temperature of 41.1 degree Celsius over the State.
Forecast valid until Wednesday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at most places over the State.
