Gujjar protest continues in Rajasthan

Jaipur, May 26: A goods train derailed on the tracks damaged by the ongoing agitation launched by Gujjars demanding ST status, near Bandikui on the Jaipur-Delhi section today. A police spokesman said engine and six wagons of the train were derailed around 0400 hrs. He said a mob of Gujjar protestors had damaged the tracks on the stretch of over one kilometer late last night.

Meanwhile, situation in Pillukapura near Bayana and Sikandara in Dausa district continued to be tense as Gujjars were still sitting on 'dharna' with bodies of the deceased. The Army has been deployed around Pillukapura.
