Elderly couple found murdered in New Delhi

New Delhi, May 26: A couple was found murdered in Defence Colony area of south Delhi this morning, reflecting the fear that the elderly are unsafe in the city. It seems to be the handiwork of their servant, who is missing, said the police. Ashok Goyal (62) and his wife Lata (55) were found dead at their Neeti Bagh residence this morning.

''A sharp-edged weapon had been used to kill the couple.'' The servant, employed just about a week back, is missing and he is suspected to be behind the murder, police added. Sources said the antecedents of the servant had not been verified after he was employed. He was not present when police had gone for verification.
