Centre grants Rs 218 crore to AP, J
New Delhi, May 26 (UNI) The Ministry of Rural Development has sanctioned Rs 218.458 crore to Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Jammu and Kashmir and Andhra Pradesh as Grant-in-Aid under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sarak Yojana (PMGSY).
The amount will be received for the programme by the respective State Public Works Department And State Rural Roads Development Agencies.
An amount of Rs 4.95 crore has been sanctioned as 2nd instalment for Phase-II to the Public Works Department, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, which is an autonomous agency for receiving the funds for PMGSY under the programme.
The Jammu and Kashmir State Rural Roads Agency (JKSRRA), which is an autonomous agency for receiving the funds for PMGSY has been sanctioned Rs 91.743 crore as balance payment of 2nd instalment of Phase -III (Amount Rs 18.45 crore) and Phase-IV (Amount Rs 72.21 crore) and as Administrative Funds (Amount Rs 1.083 crore) PMGSY Project under the scheme.
The Andhra Pradesh State Rural Roads Development Agency (APSRRDA), an Autonomous body for receiving funds under PMGSY has been allocated Rs 121.765 crore as part payment of 1st instalment of Phase VI (2007-08) of Grants-in-Aid under the scheme.
All these agencies will maintain separate account for this grant and submit Utilisation certificate and Audit Reports for the amount already released and amount being released now, to claim further amount due.
The grant is towards plan expenditure and is subject to the provisions of PMGSY programme guidelines and supplementary directions issued there under.
