Paul Gascoigne tries to buy bread with 10,000 Pounds cheque!

By Staff

London, May 25 : Ex-England ace Paul Gascoigne cut a sorry figure when he tried to cash in a 10,000 pounds cheque to buy food at an all-night shop after an all night drinking session.

The footballer has already been warned that he could be drinking himself to death.

And even though he's just spent time in rehab after trying to drown himself three weeks back, he hit the Wellington members' club as soon as he got out of rehab.

At the Crispins store, Gazza claimed his cash card had been stolen after trying to buy a loaf of bread with the cheque.

The shopkeeper took pity on the former England footballer and gave him a French bread stick.

"It was really sad to watch. Here was one of England's greatest ever players drifting like some lonesome figure. The guy clearly needs help," a source told the Daily Star.

And, Liver expert Dr Rajiv Jalan, 45, agrees that the footie ace's drinking could kill him.

"Don't buy him any more beer - for his own sake. He could die," Jalal said.
