Lok Janshakti Party to contest all LS seats in Gujarat
Surat, May 25 (UNI) Lok Janshakti Party (LJP), led by Ram Vilas Paswan, will contest all seats in Gujarat during the Lok Sabha elections due next year and make price hike as its main election plank.
Addressing a gathering to welcome 70 local Congress workers into the party fold today, regional LJP chief Mukesh Gurjar said the party supremo Ram Vilas Paswan will visit Gujarat in coming days. The party will also hold its national convention in the second week of August at Mount Abu, Rajsthan.
Surat's former Mayor and senior Congress leader Gulam Patel, with other Congress workers, also joined LJP today.
Talking to newsmen later, he said dalits and Muslims in the city Congress feel suffocated as there is no scope for them.
