Karnataka Assembly result, a warning for Congress : Modi
Patna, May 25 (UNI) Deputy Bihar Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi today said triumph of the BJP in Karnataka Assembly election was a warning to the Congress, and the UPA government at the Centre should review its policy to make it people-friendly.
Reacting to the splendid performance of his party in Karnataka Assembly election, Mr Modi said the verdict in southern state was an indication that people had rejected the Congress-led UPA government policies, which resulted in steep hike in prices of essentials.
'' The outcome of Karnataka Assembly election is also a befitting reply to those who never fail to point out that the BJP is a political party having influence only in northern India, '' he said adding the event had proved that the BJP was party with nationwide presence.
Meanwhile, party workers burst crackers and also distributed sweets amomg the people here to celebrate their victory in Karnataka and sent greetings to their leaders in southern state for their success in turning around the fate of the party there.
