Girls outshine boys in UPSC intermediate exams

Allahabad, May 25 (UNI) Girls again outshone boys in Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education (UPSC) Board intermediate examination, which was declared today with 65.05 per cent result.

Sandeep Singh Yadav of Lucknow Public School has topped the merit list with 92 per cent marks, whereas BNSDSN Inter College, Kanpur student Anurag Katiyar stood second with 91.20 per cent.

However, the third position was jointly bagged by two student's- Sumanshu Gautam and Sparsh Singhvi of Lucknow Public and BNSDSN college respectively.

The duo scored 90.20 per cent marks each.

Passing percentage of girls remained higher than the boys.

Girls result was 80.36 per cent, whereas that of boys was 54.13 per cent.
