Puducherry, May 25 (UNI) DMK state convenor and former Puducherry Chief Minister R V Janakiraman today alleged that the Congress Ministers had forgotten that they came to power in the stae with the help of DMK votes.
Inaugurating 'Dr Kalainger Loadmen Union' here, he said Parliamentary elections were round-the-corner and reminded DMK's role in Congress leaders' victory.
One of the Congress partymen had claimed that the Congress would on its own win at least 20 seats in the coming Assembly elections.
Mr Janakiraman said, ''We have to wait and see whether it can secure two seats''. Due to "groupism" in the Ministry, welfare schemes could not be implemented and the party also lacked public support, he added.
Claiming that Parliament elections would be held in another ten or 15 months, Mr Janakiraman said this time the DMK would not ''donate'' the Puducherry seat to the alliance partners.
''The party is strong and confident of winning the constituency on its own,'' he said, adding last time the PMK could not have won the elections sans DMK's support.
