Lucknow, May 25 (UNI) Coming down heavily on Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundara Raje over the police firing on the Gujjar community on May 23, Uttar Pradesh Congrees Committee (UPCC) president Rita Bahuguna Joshi today demanded dismissal of the Rajasthan government.

BJP had promised reservation to the Gujjar community in the last election, even after completing four years in Rajasthan, the government gave a deaf ear to the Gujjar Communities demand for ST status, Mr Joshi said.

''When they used their democratic Right, the Rajasthan government tried to suppress their voice by using force,'' She said.

Police even fired upon the agitators, killing several innocent people, she added.

The UPCC president has asked the Rajasthan Governor to kick out the Raje government, if she is unable to solve the problem amicably.

''The Rajasthan Chief Minister has not only failed to maintain law and order situation in the state, but also lost senstivity and turned into a dictator, Ms Joshi alleged.

She had also asked ex-gratia of Rs 10 lakh for the victims of police firing and 5 lakhs for the injured.
