Bolaria leading by 12,000 votes in Amritsar (South)

Amritsar, May 25: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD)-BJP nominee Inderbir Singh Bolaria was leading by over 12,000 votes in Amritsar (South) assembly seat in Punjab after the sixth round of counting today.

Mr Bolaria was leading over his nearest rival Navdeep Goldie of the Congress.

The bypoll was necessitated following the death of Inderbir Singh Bolaria's father Raminder Singh Bolaria, who had won the seat as a nominee of the SAD-BJP in the Assembly election in February last year.
