New York, May 24 : A baby shop in Hollywood is certainly in trouble, for Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have threatened to take legal action against them if they don't stop leaking details of the couple's purchase for their baby daughter.
The angry celebrity duo has told their lawyers to take action against Petit Tresor, the Hollywood hot spot for the celebrity baby-bump set, cautioning the owners to stop revealing what shopping the couple did from their store.
Cruise and Holmes are irked by a recent article in Life and Style magazine, which said that in the last two years, they purchased stuff costing around 400,000 dollars for their daughter, Suri.
While the couple's lawyer, Aaron Moss, wrote a letter to the store owners claming breach of privacy and incorrect information.
"Not only does this statement violate our clients' confidentiality, but it is simply false," the New York Daily News quoted the lawyer, as saying in the letter.
However, the owners did not return a call for commenting on the issue. He also claimed that Samantha Winch and her staff have given false tips to the tabloids about Cruise and Holmes shopping sprees to boost their store's image.
"This conduct violates our clients' rights of privacy and rights of publicity. Accordingly, we hereby request that you no longer use our clients as part of your public relations and marketing efforts," wrote Moss in the letter, a prelude to a suit.
