Showers bring relief from heat wave
Nagpur, May 24 (UNI) Several spells of light showers today brought some relief from the scorching heat being experienced in the city.
The city received rains, accompanied by strong winds late this afternoon and early in the evening.
The rains were the result of pre-monsoon activity over Vidarbha region of Maharashtra, according to the Meteorological Office here.
The city recorded a rainfall of 4 mm during the 12 hours ending 2030 hrs today, the weatherman said.
Meanwhile, Nagpur recorded a maximum temperature of 42.3 degrees Celsius today, with Akola city recording 42.0 degrees and Amravati 40.0 degrees, the met office added.
