Hyderabad, May 24 (UNI) Rain occurred at a few places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema and isolated rain over Telangana today.
The chief amount of rainfall recorded in cm were Patapatnam 5, Chodavaram and Pulivendula 4 each.
The maximum temperatures significantly fell at one or two places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh but significantly rose at one or two places over Telangana and changed little over Rayalaseema.
The highest maximum temperature of 43 degrees Celsius was recorded at Bhadrachalam, Nizamabad, Rentachintala and Ramagundam.
Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Rayalaseema regions.
A report from Kakinada said people, who have been reeling under severe summer heat, heaved a sigh of relief when rain, accompanied by heavy gales, lashed the port city for over two hours today.
The sudden cloudburst inundated several low-lying areas and the power supply was disrupted for sometime.
