One body recovered in Muran dam boat accident
Jeypore, Orissa, May 24 (UNI) Body of one child has been recovered out of the five children drowned in the Muran dam of Indravati when the the boat ferrying them capsized yesterday, police said today.
Police today said efforts were on to trace the four missing bodies from the dam.
The mishap took place when eight kids, all in the age group of 10 to 12 years, were returning from Karlaghat after attending a local jatra festival.
The boat suddenly caught in the hailstorm and capsized in the Muran dam. The children were swept away in the strong current of the water.
The locals could manage to rescue five but one of them died while being taken to the shore.
The three others had been admitted to a local hospital, police said.
