Indo-Pak ties to further improve with new govt in power:Gilani
Islamabad, May 24 (UNI) Days after India and Pakistan resumed the Composite Dialogue Process, Pakistan Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani today expressed confidence that relations with India will further improve in the times ahead with the coming into power of a new government.
Talking to Pakistan's High Commissioner to India Shahid Malik, who called on him at the PM House, Gilani said peace hinges on an early and just settlement of all outstanding issues including the Kashmir issue in keeping with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people, the Associated Press of Pakistan reported.
The Prime Minister said Pakistan and India need to move forward from the phase of dispute management to dispute resolution.
He said Pakistan was committed to peace process with India and wants to improve and strengthen relations with it.
Shahid Malik briefed the Prime Minister about the status of the ongoing composite dialogue with India.
