Hyderabad, May 24 (UNI) Fresh from scoring an upset win over Chennai Super Kings, confident Royal Challengers, Bangalore, will go all out to defeat Deccan Chargers in the return leg match of the DLF Indian Premier League (IPL) here tomorrow.
While Royal Challengers have three wins from 12 matches, Deccan Chargers have only two wins from equal number of match and placed at the bottom of the league table.
With both the teams out of reckoning for the semifinals, the match, the penultimate one for both the teams, will only be of academic interest.
One step above the Deccan Chargers after winning against the Chennai team by 14 runs thanks to Anil Kumble's three for 14 spell, the Rahul Dravid-led Royal Challengers, who had played poorly in the IPL, will use the opportunity to repeat tomorrow, their winning performance in the Chinnaswamy stadium at Bangalore.
Royal Challengers Bangalore had scored their second win of the IPL outwitting Deccan Chargers by three runs on May 3.
On the other hand, Deccan Chargers, who had lost their last outing against King XI Punjab by six wickets, will try their best to salvage some lost pride in the home ground after losing all their matches at the Rajiv Gandhi International stadium here.
Having hard hitters like Adam Gilcrist, Shahid Afridi, Rohit Sharma, in its ranks, Deccan Chargers will try to take revenge for their narrow defeat at Bangalore. The hosts have also promising youth like Venugopal Rao, who have made some useful contributions with both bat and ball in the previous outings. Deccan Chargers bowling attack will be spearheaded by R P Singh and ably supported by P Ojha and Sanjay Bangar.
