Clouds again on Delhi horizon as city experiences another cool day
New Delhi, May 24 (UNI) After a sunny day yesterday, clouds again enveloped the Delhi skyline today, maintaining coolness in the air in the city prevailing last week.
After a rise in temperature yesterday brought about by bright sunlight, the maximum temperature dropped again to 33.1 degree Celsius, eight degrees below normal.
The minimum was also recorded three degrees below normal at 23.6 degree C.
The coolness in the air is likely to persist in the next few days with weatherman forecasting rain and thundershowers at a few places with thundersquall or hailstorm in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand during the next 48 hours.
The Met office has forecast a partly cloudy sky in Delhi in the next 24 hours with possibility of rain and thundershowers in a few areas.
