New Delhi, May 23: Diverscified Videocon group today said it will apply for a 3G licence when the government comes out with the guidelines for the new technology next month.
''We have all the technology ready for that...As soon as the 3G policy is announced, we will be applying. We hope with our technical tie-ups with various companies, it will be very easy for us to roll out the services,'' Videocon Chairman Venugopal Dhoot told reporters here on the sidelines of a conference.
The company will also roll out its telecom network from mid-August and is aiming at 10 per cent market share of the booming telecom sector in the next five years.
The company is also open to sharing passive infrastructure wherever possible.
