Tina Turner wants to take Amy Winehouse under her wing
London, May 23 : Tina Turner is the latest celebrity to extend her support to troubled singer Amy Winehouse in her bid to kick drugs.
The 68-year-old music legend has offered to take the 'Rehab' hitmaker under her wing - and issued her with a stark warning: lay off the drugs.
"My view of Amy is that her problems started before her success. And the drugs are making it hard for her to deal with this success," the Mirror quoted her, as saying. "When you buy drugs that feeling passes and you have nothing.
"I don't even know if you can remember what that feeling was. You get nothing from drugs except a feeling and bad health.
"I prefer to spend my money on something I can see, I can use," she added.
Turner reckons the 'Back To Black' singer could enjoy a 40-year career - if she cleans up her act.
"If she was clean she would be celebrating now because she is wonderful. Her voice is absolutely timeless," she said.
