Sun Microsystems declared 'business superbrand'
Bangalore, May 23 (UNI) Sun Microsystems India, a major IT infrastructure provider, has been declared a Superbrand by independent brand arbiter Superbrands India.
The company would now use the logo as an endorsement of its power and popularity and leverage it with its targeted customers, company Director Marketing, Alliances and Teleweb Sales K P Unnikrishnan said.
Speaking to reporters here, he said this recognition catapulted it to the list of the country's strongest corporate brands and reaffirmed its popularity.
"Over the last ten years since we began operations in India, Sun Microsystems has become a name to reckon with in the area of technology infrastructure.
"Whether it is the telecom market, the BFSI space or retail and healthcare, Sun Microsystems is synonymous with robust and reliable back-end IT infrastructure to support leading businesses," he said.
Sun Microsystems develops open source technologies in the storage and server space to power the global marketplace.
