Washington, May 23 : The secretary accused of breaking up Shania Twain's 14-year marriage to music producer Mutt Lange has vehemently denied she was the reason for the couple's split.
People magazine first reported that Twain's hubby had left her for Marie-Anne Thiebaud, the singer's secretary and house manager.
However, when contacted by E! News, Thiebaud denied having any part in the break-up, reported Usmagazine.com.
"I know what you're ringing to ask me about. But, when marriages break up they break up for all sorts of complicated reasons, it's never just one reason. And those reasons should be kept private," she told E! News.
"If you're looking for a person that broke up a marriage then you have the wrong person. I'm not that person," she added.
The 37-year old declined to comment any further on the report, and asked the press not "intrude into people's private lives."
Twain, 42, and Lange, 59, announced their split on May 15.
The couple have a son, Eja D'Angelo, 6.
