Kuala Lumpur, May 23 : Police have completed their investigations into the remarks by Karpal Singh, a lawyer representing five incarcerated HINDRAF leaders, on the Malay Rulers and are awaiting further instructions from the Attorney-General's Chambers, Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Musa Hassan said Thursday.

"I can't comment on the investigation paper. You can ask the A-G," he said after receiving a cheque for RM100,000 from Hernikwon Corporation Sdn Bhd chairman Datuk Bryce Kwon for the children of police personnel who had done well in their studies.

Twenty-one police reports have been lodged nationwide against the Bukit Gelugor MP for allegedly making seditious remarks against the Malay Rulers.

Karpal Singh is being investigated over the reports made against him in Pasir Mas, Kelantan, for his comment on a speech by the Tengku Mahkota of Kelantan on April 25.

He is also being investigated for his statement that the Sultan of Perak had no jurisdiction over the transfer of Perak Islamic Religious Department director Datuk Jamry Sury.

On Tuesday, Karpal Singh received a death threat in an envelope with a live bullet enclosed. It was hand-delivered to the DAP chairman's office by a man at 12.30pm.

The note warned him not to question Malay rights and the Sultans' constitutional powers.

Karpal Singh lodged a report at the Dang Wangi police headquarters and handed over the bullet and letter.
